The Science Café coordinating team are looking for new members to fill a variety of roles within the team. Science Café is a long-standing engagement with science project where, for the price of a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, anyone can come to explore and debate the latest ideas in science and technology.

The coordinating team are now looking for new members to join the team and support the ongoing running and future development of the café. A number of potential roles exist, including but not limited to:

– a Chair position, to lead the coordinating team and drive the programme forward
– website maintenance and social media marketing
– filming and editing talks together
– hosting the Science Café events
– programme planning and speaker liaison

An enthusiasm for exploring scientific ideas and concepts is essential, as well as availability on the first Tuesday of the month to attend Science Cafés. New team members will join the current coordinating team in running the Café, which is supported by both the British Science Association and Cardiff University.

Please send us a brief e-mail telling us a little bit about yourself, your research and your experience of outreach activities or science communication to Community@Cardiff.ac.uk by 31st October 2013.
