‘Antibiotic Resistance: Past, Present and Future’,
The next Cardiff Science Cafe will be given by Dr Sarah Maddocks, Lecturer in Microbiology, Cardiff School of Health Sciences, Cardiff Metropolitan University
Resistance emerged a matter of years after the introduction of penicillin and continues until the present day. Many factors drive resistance but it can be curbed. What is the outlook if new antibiotics are not discovered or produced?
This event is free and open to all: no need to book just turn up on the night.
This event will be preceeded by the first regional heat of the national science communication competition, FameLab 2014. Contestants have just 3 minutes to explain a science concept in as informative, engaging, and entertaining way as possible.
